One challenge I\u2019ve always faced is the desire to throw myself entirely into something to get things done. Whether I consciously think this or not, I think the appeal is getting something done quickly and with a consistent vision throughout.<\/p>\n
However, this often results in many important aspects of my life getting put on hold. Whether it be sleeping, healthy eating, exercising, spending time with others, or whatever. Honestly, there is some satisfaction in wrapping everything up, pressing publish, and being left with a clean plate.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n
Either way, it\u2019s not very healthy or sustainable. So I\u2019ve tried, and often failed, at keeping this process at a healthier pace. Maybe because of all the made-up deadlines and stuff. But for now, at least, OCP+ and the main channel are just kind of in a post-as-it-makes-sense mode.<\/p>\n
So now I\u2019m sitting here with 6-8 things slowly marching along. When are they going to come out?Greaaaaaaat question. I honestly have no idea. When I get the chance to work on something, I often aim to focus on what is on the top of my mind more now. Which means progress on each of them is uneven. So predicting when they\u2019ll be done is hard.<\/p>\n

It has kept me…<\/p>\n
– feeling more level-headed about the content I make.<\/p>\n
– focused on something I\u2019m excited to work on at that moment.<\/p>\n
– naturally stepping away from things that just aren\u2019t working.<\/p>\n
I\u2019m hoping that also translates to feeling less dejected if I\u2019m obscuring how much time it took to finish something. I wouldn\u2019t be surprised if I felt a lot more down about Babylon\u2019s Fall video failing to reach a larger group of people after spending nearly two weeks working on that video and nothing else.<\/p>\n
Whether that\u2019s how things will play out in the long run\u2026 we\u2019ll see. I feel like I always make changes to fix my process and, despite my best hopes, end up getting derailed for one reason or another.<\/p>\n

I\u2019ve been working full-time again lately. In some ways, that\u2019s finally forcing me to re-adapt the YouTube channel around my more recent life balance changes since I left my full-time job a year or so ago.
