The Sega Dreamcast is a beloved system for many thanks to the sheer quality and creativity behind its game library. That being said, it can be hard to go back to.<\/p>\n

The Dreamcast was the last system to live in the era where most 3D games were just awkward. They typically contained a lot of technical issues, developers still had trouble building convincing character models and any many titles, especially shooters, had to deal with the fact that the Dreamcast lacked a second analog stick.<\/p>\n

The PlayStation 2 would see its fair share of awkward 3D games, too. However, by the end of the PS2\u2019s generation, developers ironed out most of their 3D troubles.<\/p>\n

I tend to like awkward 3D games, so the Sega Dreamcast is a pretty great system for me. It\u2019s fun to see how multiple developers tackled the same problems in a large variety of ways.<\/p>\n

I\u2019m growing a bit concerned over the rising prices on Dreamcast games. But the system has such a fascinating library that I can\u2019t help but be drawn toward it.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
